Showdown at Soho Shorts Jul 2009

This Way Up bagged yet another award last night for best animation, this time at the Rushes Soho Shorts.

It’s a real plus for the film to be commended by a festival in the home town, especially when it’s up against two other great UK finalists, ‘Txt Island’ directed by Chris Gavin and ‘This Is Where We Live’ directed by Ben Falk & Josiah Newbolt.

This month also brought with it a ‘Best Short Film’ award for the comedy caper at Montréal’s Just For Laughs Festival, the largest festival of its kind in the world.
