Strata 2 Installation

‘Strata’ is an ongoing project begun in 2007, compromising of a series of films, prints and site-specific installations, investigating improbable relationships between contemporary digital aesthetics and icons of classical art and architecture. ‘Strata’ explores new perspectives by shifting to a focus that lies in the colours, the structures, the geometries, the shapes, the patterns…

Commissioned and Co-Produced by Arcadi, this is the second film in the Strata series, which explores the icons of french gothic imagery and architecture, focusing on the layering of times function and representations.
By moving through the spaces of “Notre Dame” and “Saint Eustache” a process of metamorphosis is slowly revealed, transforming structure and function of the original churches.
