The Wex Machine
Roel Wouters

Roel Wouters collaborated with Erik Borra to created a new website and installation for W139 - an exhibition and production space for contemporary art based in Amsterdam.

The WEX Machine is a table that is photographed from above every 5 mins. The photograph is then automatically published on the front page of the W139 website. This allows visitors to easily and instantly publish their thoughts, wishes or announcements on the world-wide web. 3 objects are permanently placed on the WEX table; a touch screen to disclose the w139’s archive, a silver sphere to capture the physical exhibition space, and a printer that allows people publish on the WEX remotely.

Visitors, whether online or offline, can contribute to both the installation and site.
